vector vs array in C++ for competitive programming?

I see top Codeforces solutions using `vector` everywhere. Isn't a plain array faster?

For CP the difference is negligible. `vector` is a contiguous array underneath. Use `vector` for safety and easy resizing, `reserve()` when you know the size, and a global fixed array only when you need a very large size that would overflow the stack.
